Nice to hear you from Australia
I have just joined the forum and this is my 1999 Astra-G which I have owned for the past 21 years. My Astra was manufactured in Opel factory in Belgium and it was sold in Australia as a Holden.
Nice to hear you from Australia
Nice!
I thought you Aussies only drive pickup trucks with V8s.
That is what's left from Opel Antwerp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM9WdlzOSFw

Everyone should be able to have an emotional support miniature horse!
Thanks for your responses. Sorry to learn that there's nothing left of the Opel factory in Belgium.
Two years ago, Holden factory was shutdown and now only a few dealerships are still remaining here mainly supplying parts and service.
It's going to get even worse with PSA/Stellantis.
My impression is that the French and Italian car companies have no heart for older cars.

Genuine parts for Astra G models are getting scarce but aftermarket parts are still available.
I just ordered a genuine timing belt kit from Autovaux in UK and the boxes are marked as made by PSA but the parts still have the GM logo stamped.
Hope PSA continues to produce parts for older Opel cars.
