    Hello

    Very nice Astra

I also seek to pin 2.2 DTI and 2.0 DI.
Do you tried to connect pin 23, ECM 1.7 to 2.2 DTI?

    Thank you for help!

    Thanks Tomi!

I did not try to use the pin 23 of the 1.7 ECM, because I have here the diagrams of connections of the 2.2 DTI, and is everything entirely different of the 1.7, included the signals of the cruise control, only that unfortunately does not appear any signal of the cruise control to go to the signpost only the 3 normal pins for the keys...

(another question: do you know what pin can I use on ESP/ABS unit, to the the ESP key? (turn off ESP))

    Thanks!

Sorry I'm don't know what pin You can use for ESP.
I'm think for ESP/ABS You must change ABS pump.

Did you check all the pin in your ECM for Cruise Control Led?

Hi Tomi, sorry, I doesn't explain correctly. My car has ESP, but it hasn't ESP Key to turn Off ESP. So it is allways on. I only want to have the key to turn it off. So, I need to know what Pin to use on the ESP Unit...

On my Astra 1.7 DTI, member AugeK said me that I had to use the pin 23 on ECM, to plug to instrument panel.

Now I'm thinking to check all the pin on my 2.2 DTI ECM, to discover the correct pin.

Yes, I used a Led. A led from an original Astra's damaged panel. Here the photos...

Applying pin 23 for Cruise Control Led.

    Alterations on Instrument panel:

    A – Resistance SMD 1.6 KOhm
B – Shunt, connect two points.
C – Led SMD Green. Negative for top and Positive for low.
    D - Resistance SMD 152 Ohm

I still not find it... I need to disassemble the admition... I think that it is plug X93 of the command unit.

My car is MY 2004, so my ECM use 2 plugs X92 and X93. And it is underneath of admition. I take some fotos of it...

    Hello All
Dear Sport Van i have some question about your instalation. I have Opel Astra G 2.0 DTI 2000r with MID as you on beginning. I buy some NCDR 1100 and CID but when i try mount this in my car i found some problem. In my instalation I`dont have properly connections audio is ok ( that is some standard ) but my extra plug is not the same as NCDR 1100. Do you also need change that wire (CAN line) or you have right plug?? If not could you give me GM number of that part ??

I buy CID without RBG cable but NCDR do not support GPS for Poland ( where i live ) so it not be use. Do I need that cable to work CID whit NCDR.

PS. Sorry for my English end thanks for any help

My Coupé has reached 120.000 Kms, it was made the inspection on my Opel dealer and it is all Ok!

At the moment I have applied the ESP swich, and some modification on CD Box, to make disappear some parasite sounds.

I will put the 17” wheels from an Astra Coupé Turbo.

    Here the ESP Switch application:

Now, the CD Box modifications (with initial led's application):

The plug has come from an Astra H. With this the connection is perfect and totally original.

And now, new photos of the car:

    Hi there,

I really like the work you have done on the Astras. I am particularly interested in the climate control system. I have a 2003 SRI with air conditioning. How is climate control fitted?

After one year, here I am again to talk about my Astra.

Unfortunately time, work, and study don’t let me come here, but I will try to refresh my thread more times.

    Sorry.

Aous, thank you, I can try to do a resume about climate control system installation. It isn't too much complex, patience and some knowledge about Astra and you can apply it!

Electronic Climate Control need's a new clima box, electronic panel to control it, and the sun/temperature sensor on "dachboard". The sistem is very very superior and confortable when compared with the normal Air Condicioning. I think that it justify the all work that is needed.

    About my Astra Coupé

Now it is with 146.000 kms, I continue too much happy with him!

In April, I bought a Xenon complete set on Ebay to apply on my Astra. They are the original headlights by Hella.
First I bought DEPO headlights but they were too bad, and I sold them.

Well, here the headlights when they arrived:

Right headlight came with an interior support broken, I disassembled it, and with an old normal headlight, I repair it!

This was the broken support (here with the new one):

    The Xenon lens:

    Lens, before being clean:

    Lens after cleaning:

I assembled again the headlight with a special gum, like they use on original assembling.

After this, both headlights were repaired (polished and varnished):

    Applying the headlights washer:

Here the new relay (from a Vectra B):

I hope you like my work!

    Thank you Chino!

After Xenon Headlights even without "level sensor", I applied the Astra H 1.9 CDTI brake discs in front (308mm). At the rear I have the orginal 264mm, they are the same on Astra 1.9 CDTI.

    Here when I bought it:

    The original (280mm) Brake disc:

    The new (308mm) Brake disc:

Thanks, I love them too! To me the best original wheels for Astra G are the Coupé Turbo (mine), Astra OPC, and 16" with five arms in Y.

Yes, 308 brakes are big, I like big brakes in a "open wheel", it is pretty. And in this case, the braking is much higher. Not suffer as much from fatigue, especially at high speeds.

I would like to find brakes from an Astra H OPC, the support is the same, is only replace, it is simple, and they have 321mm in front, and 278mm in rear. But in Portugal is too much difficult to find an Astra OPC on a scrap, to buy the brakes.
