Lufteinlassrohr von Vectra C in Astra G (von UK abgekuckt)

Fitting a Vectra C AirBox Inlet Pipe to an Astra G

Part numbers.
Main Pipe. - 9177099
Adaptor to Airbox. - 9177104

You'll need.
A adjustable spanner.
Junior Hacksaw.
No.20 Torx bit (star shaped)
Flat bladed screw-driver.
A couple of small self tapping screws (plus a small drill)

Before removing anything off of your car.

Using a Junoir hacksaw remove both mounting brackets from the top of the Vectra C inlet pipe (9177099).

- Unbolt one of the jubilee clips holding the air pipe and un-clip all the clips holding the Airbox together.

Then remove the sensor at the back of the Airbox. This allows you to tilt the top of the airbox up, out of the way.
Then by pulling back the the lower half of the air box it comes away from its mountings. Remove from car.

- Remove both torx screws and unclip the clips holding in your standard inlet pipe

- Using a flat bladed screw driver a prised the mounting points of the original inlet pipe out from under the metal cross piece. (can be a bit fiddly)

- Offer up the Vectra C pipe unto the correct position. Then slide it over towards your battery.

- Fit the Adaptor tubing (9177104) to the pipe and twist it (just under 90degs) towards yourself the the "lug" is nearer the front of the car.

- Refit the lower half of your Air Box. Locating the Inlet pipe the the Inlet hole. This is very fiddly but with patience it will fit!


IT'S A TIGHT FIT.

- Holding the pipe in the correct position. Through the existing hole in the cross piece, drill a small hole through the side wall of the pipe and fit a self tapping screw. Then repeat for the other small hole.


- Check to see if the pipe to Airbox connection is "secure"

- Refit the top of your Airbox.

Stand back and admire your work.

I DID loosen off the drivers side headlight just to get that little bit extra room. This includes loosening one side of the bumber mountings. Not really needed, but did help a little.

THE END

I did this on a 1.8 SRi with AirCon. Next task - to make the thing fit on a Corsa C.

ja, und genau das bringt einem überhaupt nichts!!! ...aber egal

Nachgewiesen wurde (Prüfstandsmessung) das , dieses Rohr beim Turbo Coupe mit Phase 3 10PS bringt.Beim Serienfahrzeug mit höchste Wahrscheinligkeit - gar nichts.

Tolle Idee wir tauschen ein Rohr gegen ein anderes was kein Sinn macht.Es macht mehr Sinn das Serien Rohr mit diesem Resonzkasten gegen eins ohne zu tauschen aber das was da gezeigt wird bringt mal garnix

Oben im Luftfilterkasten is son Rohr was enger ist und dann weiter öffnet ..

naja das bringt aber och nix, ausser bissel mehr ansauggeräusch ..

kann das Rohr ma fotografiern, wenns notwendig ist, habs hier liegen ... ich habs ja rausgekloppt

AstraGLippe, das untere Rohr hast aber nicht draußen, oder wie?
Wenn schon, denn schon... das untere bringt mehr an Sound, als das obere...
Allerdings glaube ich, dass MIG29 mit Resonanzkasten die Blindrohre meint, die am Ansaugrohr sind. (sieht man auf dem Bild recht gut: ) Der Vectra C hat diese aber scheinbar nicht...

@ astraglippe: du hast das so rausgekriegt? ich musste das ding in stücke haun....

viele sagen das man das obere unbedingt drin lassen sollte weil es irgendwas mit der strömungsgeschwindigkeit zu tun haben soll . hatte mal bei DSOP nachgefragt der sagte auch original lassen leider hat er es nicht weiter erklärt . EDS macht es beim turbo wohl raus da stört es wohl . beim sauger würde mich das echt mal interresieren was nun besser ist .

Das Teil auf meinen Fotos ist das Rohr im Luftfilterdeckel ...

Lufika ausbauen (eine Torx-Schraube) , und am besten zu dritt machen...
Unteren Teil des Luftfilterkastens hält eine Person.
Eine zweite Person drückt mit einem geeigneten Gegenstand (ich hab 'ne kleine Vorhangsstande aus Holz genommen) die Vierkantsicherung rein
und die dritte Person kloppt mit 'nem Gummihammer von der Innenseite her auf das Rohr... *plop* draußen ist es.
