Wie kam der entschluss den C20XE einzupflanzen?

Ist der beste 4 Zylinder Saugmotor von Opel. Mir fällt jedenfalls kein besserer Motor ein was Fahrleistungen und Verbrauch angeht.

@ hattehats: The X20XEV engine is comfortable but not exiting at all. I have driven the C20XE for years in other Opels and like the characteristics of it. A turbo engine is nice, but high fuel consumption, expensive and more complicated as an atmosferic engine.
The C20XE is relatively simple and bullit proof. Till last year the basic engine was used by Chevrolet in the WTCC, more than 22 years after introduction!

drivin to fast in NL is ve3ry Xpensive eh :D there are radarcontrols everywhere so.. chill with the engine if u want to save money :P

Doch es gibt Euro2 Astra G Karossen und da wäre so ein Umbau möglich.

Euro 2/ D3. Gehts da auch? Der C20XE ist ja schon nen Biest.... ;) Bekannter von mir fährt den im Corsa A mit weit über 200 Sauger PS :)

Ich meinte mit meiner Aussage diesen speziellen Umbau hier: Der ausgebaute Motor hat ganz sicher keine Euro 2-Norm gehabt. Und sowas geht bei uns eben nicht.

Und Astra G mit Euro 2-Norm im Schein muss man schon suchen. Das dürften ja nur ein paar olle Diesel sein.

Gibt genug 98er Astra G mit X20DTL Motor ;-)

Und ich denke das ein D3 Motor (beim Diesel ist D3 = Euro2) auch kein Problem ist ;-)

I live near Den Haag.

You are right, lot of radar/video controls here. Sometimes I drive to Germany to push the pedal to the metal on the way to Oberhausen and back to Arnheim.
