Hello,

My car didn't bring cruise control of origin!

I decided to make installation and with tech2 to program the car!

All was all right but when I push the button R the conditional air turn on.... Its very strange...

I'm really surprised with this but I did the installation correctly....

Pin 29 -> I
Pin 44 -> R
Pin 62 -> O (Reset)

Tks.

hi

We have a german howto, here is the part of the pin placements:

Motortyp \ Hebel A \ Hebel D \ Hebel C \ Kupplungsschalter
Z16SE \ 62 \ 29 \ 44 \ 61
Z16XE \ 62 \ 29 \ 44 \ 61
Z18XE \ 59 \ 27 \ 43 \ 10
Z22SE \ 50 \ 51 \ 54 \ 55

Diesel PSG5 \ 45 \ 64 \ 63 \ vorhanden
Diesel PSG12 \ 43 \ 24 \ 48 \ vorhanden

as you have a 1,7 dti one of the 2 last lines should be the right one for you. i don't know which one.

so i think one of these combinations should work:

pin 64 -> I
pin 63 -> R
pin 45 -> O

or

pin 24 -> I
pin 48 -> R
pin 43 -> O

good luck

I Know one car in portugal who has cruise control and his motor is 1.7DTI! It hasn't any problem with cruise control.

The installation of this car is the same of my car.

Pin 29 -> I
Pin 44 -> R
Pin 62 -> O (Reset)

In my car with the same installation I have the problem what i said.

Tks!

Yes!

I'm a friend of infinity. I was installed Cruise Control on my Astra 1.7 DTI, and it functions correctly.

You better doublecheck the wiring. Maybe you used a wrong pin.
Did you use the original wiring (intrerior) or is it all new cable?

By the way: if you connect a wire to pin 23 you will have a ground potential when cruise control is active. May be used for the indicator in the instrument unit.

I was doublecheck the wiring and the problem is resolved. The pins was correct but I don't know what was the problem. I just remove the wires and put them! Never more happen this problem.

However, I arrange the 3 pins of a old fiche and now the work was very good.

Thanks for all users that help me!

I connect the wire to pin 23 and i haven't a ground potencial... Are you sure that is pin 23???

Thank you very much!

Tempomat is colloquial language.
Normally it's called GRA (Geschwindigkeitsregelanlage) here.
And that in English is Cruise Control. ;)

Yes, it is 1.7 DTi
Yes, I am sure!!!
Use the correct connector. There is 2 of them on the control box. Use that one that is closer to the rear of the car. On the other connector it is in use!

[Edit] Don't forget to check if your instrument is equipped with that cruise control LED. Mine wasn't. :-(
Can be installed but takes an other hour.
