Hello people, good night for all,

I’m Portuguese, so, I don’t know to talk Germany, I will try to speak in English. Sorry.

Well, I want to apply a NCDR 1100 radio with navigation and colour display, so I am looking to e-bay to try to by one NCDR 1100. (My Astra has the CDR 500 and MID, this MID was applied by me).

But I have some questions about this radio,

I see one Opel Omega B wrecked with CID, this CID functions with an NCDR 1100? And can it to by used on Astra G?

I know that, with new Opel Astra (astra H), CID only works with him radio, and him car, in CID of Astra G this is like new CID’s? Or can works with another NCDR’s?

So, can CID’s of Astra G, Zafira A, or Omega B, works with all of NCDR 1000 or NCDR 1500, without codes or something?

Can you describe how is the sound of NCDR 1100?

Can you to put some photos of Astra’s with NCDR 1100 and CID, and some photos of menus of this display?

In Portugal I never seen an Astra with this equipment – poor nation!

Thanks for your attention,

Best Regards,

Paulo André Bandeira.

hey ho...
usually the cid's are "married" to the ncdr by software.
so, when u have the complete system of one car (ncdr+cid) u can run it in ur car...
if u get a ncdr and the cid separate, the have to be "dismarried" of the former system. then ur local car dealer schould be able to connect (marry) them again.

u can use it from the zafira and astra g but i don't know waht's with the omega system.

So, if I buy an NCDR 1100 on E-bay, and CID in other local (of other NCDR), the system will not work, right?

And how can I to put the system working, without the original car’s or the original NCDR + CID ?

Thank you :)

if they are not diconnected from the former system, no...
the car isn't necessary
but if u by a new one (ncdr or cid) and connect it to the other part which is "free" it schould also work

Humm, I ‘m understanding ;) Thank you for your patience.

But, if one of the systems (NCDR or CID) is "dismarried" of the former system, it could work even the other system (NCDR or CID) isn't "dismarried"?

Thank ;)

Can you to put some photos of Astra’s with NCDR 1100 and CID, and some photos of menus of this display?

Here you can see the NCDR 1500 with CID. The Radios are nearly the same, only some buttons have other functions and labels.

If you have the NCDR 1100 the CID shows some other icons as with the NCDR 1500:

And this is what is looks like when you turn the radio off:

you need always both components which are married (from the same car) or both divorced otherwise it will not work...

Astra G / Vectra B / Omega B / Zafira A all have the same NCDR System

with some modifikations like my system you can also watch TV and DVD on CID...

you need a switch which can handle 2 RGB signals one from the NCDR and other from TV Receiver...

I have my own System but Hardwarekiller (http://www.migrosser.de.vu) have also one you can see the the wiring diagramms and pictures of it...

Hi all,
I've been searcing around for some info on installing an NCDR 1100 or 1500 to my Vectra-b (i do have an Astra-h thou  ) and found this intresting post.
I have some questions for you guys:
1) Part list? (the unit it self, CID.. And what else?)
2) Do i will need to do some wiring? If so a quick review would be great.
3) Do the plugs for the NAVI unit would be the same as to my curent radio CAR 400.

Looking forward for Mycraft sugdestions as you allready managed to do the NAVI package fit over an CAR 400 radio.

1) You need the NCDR and CID or GID plus a GPS Antenna. The Antenna could be from any Opel. The GID has a different format from thise in Zafira or Astra.
2) The Wiring MUST be changed but depends on the Display installed. If it was MID the changes are not so big, if it was TID you have to replace the connector as well.
3) The plug of the Navi unit differs from the one on CAR 400.
There are adaptors available for CCRT700 to attach CD Players. Maybe you could try to get one and do all the wiring changes with that adaptor.
Besides that you have to apply an additional antenna cable for GPS and replace the radio holder as the NCDR has a GPS connector as well.

I replaced a CDR500 with NCDR1500 in a Zafira A where the job is quite similar.
